Initially we did some research on the net and then approached 5-6 companies but talking to photocopier salesmen is like talking to 2nd hand car salesmen - that’s why we asked our suppliers if they knew anyone. Our first meeting with Honest was in their London showroom and they didn’t ‘sell’ anything - just asked what we needed. Nothing was hidden. They showed the manufacturer price and their price and discounts they could offer - you could see the margins. We produce 11 thousand colour copies p.month and the black & white machines have enabled us to shed 4 printers. We’ve got easy access to desktop fax and the one touch scan feature is great - everyone can use it from the CEO down. Reception staff make good use of the saddle stitch function to create brochures and an internal telephone directory. Honest gave us free training and have come in regularly as part of the maintenance agreement. When we are ready to be shown any features again we just have to let them know. They gave us 2 machines to configure before we relocated so when we moved we were ready to cope with the workload which really helped. We were sold the Canon ethos and the Honest way. Honest are above standard - always at the end of a phone - they just have to keep on doing what they are doing. It’s a good partnership.
